The main activities JSC "BIOKIMYO" is:
- production of rectified ethyl alcohol from grain;
- production of technical rectified ethyl alcohol;
- production and sale of thermal energy;
The Yangiyul JSC "BIOKIMYO" (during the start-up of the Yangiyul hydrolysis plant), in accordance with the planned task, was designed according to the profile of the production of ethyl alcohol, special products and feed yeast using local vegetable raw materials of sawdust, cotton husk, rice husk.
The construction of the plant began in 1949 on the basis of Resolutions Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 30 of January 3, 1949. The plant was put into operation in November 1958 with the launch of a steam power shop that provides technological steam for the company's own needs and industrial enterprises of the city of Yangiyul.
In January 1959, after the completion of commissioning, a hydrolysis-alcohol workshop for the production of ethyl alcohol from sawdust with a design capacity of 170.0 thousand dal of technical alcohol per year was put into operation.
Due to the lack of vegetable raw materials to fill and meet the needs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in technical alcohol, the specialists of the enterprise mastered the technological process of obtaining ethyl technical rectified alcohol by dispersing and rectification of the ethyl alcohol head fraction (EAF) of the etheraldehyde fraction, which is a by-product of alcohol production from grain.
In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 24, 1991 No. 131 "On increasing the production of ethyl alcohol to meet the needs of the national economy of the Republic with its own products and the effective use of existing production areas of engineering networks and structures, thermal and electrical capacities" by the general designer of the Krasnoyarsk Design Institute "Sibgiprobiosynthesis", who completed the technological part of the project for the production of alcohol from grain at JSC "BIOKIMYO", a complex for the production of alcohol from grain with a design capacity of 821.4 thousand dal was built and commissioned in December 1998.
Working through the issues of improving production efficiency and increasing production volumes, the project proposed by the enterprise "Modernization of alcohol production with the installation of BRU" was included in the Investment Program of 2014, approved by the Resolution Of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 18, 2013 No. PP 2069. Ensuring timely implementation of the investment project. "Modernization of alcohol production with the installation of BRU" in December 2014, JSC "BIOKIMYO" commissioned the "1500 - BRU site" manufacturer-with a capacity of 6.0 thousand. dal of alcohol per day, developed and completed according to the contract concluded between JSC "BIOKIMYO" and the company "FRILLI" Italy.
